The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the coalescing, governing, and guiding body for the University of Houston fraternity system. The IFC is an assembly for fraternity, campus, and communal matters. Furthermore, the IFC serves as the main line of communication between its member fraternities and the campus administration.

The Interfraternity Council is devised of seven elected executive officers each serving a specific role while representing their respective chapter. The Interfraternity Council strives to foster unity among its member chapters through its numerous activities within Greek Life and the greater UH community. Many of these programs include holding weekly meetings to help guide the fraternity system in a solid direction, participating in risk management seminars, organizing community service/philanthropic projects, and participating in UH traditions such as Frontier Fiesta, Homecoming, and football tailgates. The Interfraternity Council a crucial component of the fraternity system – one that makes for a positive and diverse Greek community.
